For intermediate students, we focus on empowering them as motivated learners and users of voice, language and movement.

During the years bridging primary and secondary school, our Speech & Drama programme adopts a developmental approach towards students' creative learning - enriching them sensitively, critically and intellectually.
Everybody has their own ways of speaking - there's no 'one size fits all' solution to better vocal expression! Our teachers work closely with students to identify, understand and take charge of their own individual voices as independent learners. We want our students to be confident speakers, and that comes best by critically knowing and speaking as themselves.
At this stage, children begin to develop an awareness of deeper meanings in books, media and everyday life. Our teachers introduce students to key language and literary analysis skills. Students will learn about universal issues in children's literature - Western, Asian and local - so that they gain critical understandings of their complex relationships with a changing, globalised world.
Confidence grows from being comfortable in your own skin. Using role-play, characterisation and drama activities, students will develop self-esteem, awareness and knowledge to develop their own effective communication styles. From there, students will understand to be seasoned creative users of space and meaning.
We like to give our students meaningful stakes and roles in our diverse learning community. Students will get to practice collaborative learning not just in the classroom, but also with projects and performances where they can develop their own unique talents. Through camaraderie, not competition, we let students build character and social skills through meaningful experiences.
